ACG is an internationally renowned conference that publishes computer-based studies of games. Its history goes back to the inaugural event held in Edinburgh in 1975, making this the longest ongoing game AI conference.<\/p>\r\n<p>This year\u2019s ACG will have a special track on <i>The History of Computer Studies of Games<\/i>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In addition to new work, we invite submissions that provide historical context or otherwise highlight key developments in game-playing programs and computer-based game studies over the decades.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>Keynote speakers include:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>David Silver (Google DeepMind)<\/li>\r\n<li>Michael Bowling (University of Alberta)<\/li>\r\n<li>Mark Lefler (Komodo, Zillions of Games)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Conference attendance to view all talks will be free.<\/p>\r\n<p>Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>The current state of game-playing programs for classic and modern <br \/>board games,\u00a0card games, puzzles, virtual\/casual\/video games, etc.<\/li>\r\n<li>General game playing<\/li>\r\n<li>Artificial intelligence and machine learning for games<\/li>\r\n<li>The history of computers in game-based research<\/li>\r\n<li>New theoretical developments in game-related research<\/li>\r\n<li>New and enhanced algorithms for search and knowledge acquisition<\/li>\r\n<li>Automated game design and evaluation<\/li>\r\n<li>Social aspects of computer games<\/li>\r\n<li>Scientific contributions produced by the study of games<\/li>\r\n<li>Cognitive research of how (and why) humans play games and puzzles<\/li>\r\n<li>Capture and analysis of game data<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><b>Submission<\/b><\/p>\r\n<p>Papers must be written in English and can be up to 10 pages in length (including references). Please conform to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.springer.com\/gp\/computer-science\/lncs\/conference-proceedings-guidelines\">LNCS style<\/a>. LaTeX preferred (Overleaf template available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.overleaf.com\/latex\/templates\/springer-lecture-notes-in-computer-science\/kzwwpvhwnvfj#.WuA4JS5uZpi\">here<\/a>).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Submit a PDF version of your paper via <a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=acg2021\">EasyChair<\/a>.
